Numero Tres

Today is our 3rd Anniversary! I just think more and more that life didn't really begin until I got married, I love it!
I am lucky to have the best husband. Here are a few of my favorite traits about Brian:
  • Hardworking: he studies very hard so he can provide for us
  • Smart: Does great in school and loves to learn other things just for the sake of learning
  • Sensitive: he always puts the needs of Ethan and me above himself or his schoolwork, often at the expense of having anytime to himself
  • Natural at being a dad: I LOVE it when Brian comes home from school and all I hear is Ethan's giggles as he and Daddy play.
  • Great example: Always makes decisions on what he feels will be best for our family so we stay united and close to God.
  • Silly: I can't believe I found someone who could act as silly as me, we have SO much fun together!
  • Patient: who else could put up with me all the time, whether I'm grumpy, nagging, or just acting dumb?

Just as an update...

Today was even better than forecasted. It was even too cold for our car to start!

SOS

Just like today (see below and above), tomorrow (see above) is going to be a GREAT day. I love those record days when wind chill readings get to -44 degrees. Ahh, makes me wanna go out for a walk. Or maybe a picnic in the park. Okay, maybe just lick a flag pole with my tongue. Anyone wanna fly us to Hawaii?

Recipes!

For Christmas, I made my mom, grandma, and sisters a recipe book of family favorites that I got everyone to submit to. It turned out great with LOTS of yummy recipes. So, I have it on my computer if anyone wants me to email them a copy (sorry, I'd attach it to my blog, but apparently there's not a way to do that...?). Just let me know if you're wanting 83 pages of recipes!

Our Happy Holidays

A Cheney Christmas in Iowa

We had a wonderful Christmas hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and all the cousins. And Ethan's favorite present? Yes, that box. We bought him a cardboard box. For Christmas. Call him spoiled, but we can't help but get him what he'd enjoy best.

Video of Uncle Ben helping Ethan open his present.

Lillywhite Visit in New Mexico

It was warm enough to play outside (don't let the snow in the background fool you)!
And Ethan got to try out his first time sledding (not that we're lacking snow in Iowa, but who wants to sled in -5 degree weather?) Ethan hated it, but we had fun!

It was all so much fun, I wish we got 3-week vacations every month!
